If there's a favourite photo of John's that you wish to share feel free to post them here. Also feel free to post photos of John if you wish.

This is an image from back in 2006, I only found it this morning and really like the mood it portrays.

Dale.

I was with John when both of those were taken - didn't seem that long ago.

John knew I had a D3 on order long before it became available in this country and originally he didn't intend upgrading.

Anyway he decided to do so and managed to get a grey one before I could and got Mark (Slider) to present it to him all wrapped up at the Christmas Party just to razz me.

Good fun memories.

Thanks Suzanne, I was looking for that photo yesterday.
I remember that Forum meet in December '07 was the first time I met John.
We arrived early, and there he was staunchly defending our BBQ area.
I remember the glee on his face when Bob saw him open that D3. Smile

John and I went to photograph the second annual Brisbane Zombie walk.

I am sure he had no idea what he was letting himself in for, we had a nice lunch at a local pub and walked down to meet the gathering Zombies.

I donned my green face paint and offered John some of the same , he was horrified, he was wearing and expensive new white shirt Laughing Laughing Laughing

Not the best thing to wear to a gore and splatter fest !

I think he was well outside his comfort zone being surrounded by raving loony Zombie hoards but he joined in the fun even if kept a long lens on for most of the day so his shirt was not damaged Very Happy

I have shots of him somewhere but cannot locate them at the moment.

Since I had no words .. or photos.. I thought I would get some from him instead..

Quotes from Oneputt ..

* I no longer read new camera reviews, the one I have now is too much camera for me. Laughing

* Bob it is a juvenile yellow faced honey eater. There is no doubt.

* Scott wedgetails are never cooperative Laughing

* Don what are they?

* This thread has generated a lot of positive discussion and later today I will summarise all the points raised...

* Unfortunately as you would appreciate Geoff, family takes precedence.

* I think that this might have worked better with either a greater DOF or a very narrow one Smile

* Had the pleasure today of attending one of Mark and Michaels reptile workshops.

* Damm you Norm - you know what I mean. Laughing

* That man Murphy has a lot to answer for .. Very Happy

* Thank goodness he is better looking than his old man. Laughing

* Bump

* That is a strong B&W conversion. Well done.

* I think that is some of your very best work Craig - terrific

* Whilst it is more like a painting than a photograph it is full of character and evokes strong feelings.

* Bloody superb !

* Some excellent comments there Matty.

* Bump
