Hi gang,
I haven't been in here for quite a while. Been busy Facebooking !
Today I ordered & paid for my new Sigma 120-400mm f4.5 lens which is costing me around a grand.
I've been doing a lot of sports photos here in Young this year I thought it was time to upgrade from the Sigma 70-300mm which I've had for ten years. I'm selling the old lens to one of the "soccer mom's" lol.
Currently I'm doing photography for our aussie rules team & our ladies soccer PLUS the men's soccer team is trying to poach me.
Next weekend I'm doing Deb ball portraits and I'm doing a similar job in July.
Last sunday I drove to Bathurst to do the girls soccer pics and next sunday I'm off to Oberon so I'm certainly getting out & about.
The Pentax K20D is going great guns. I recently bought a battery grip which is great.
Now all I need to do is win lotto so I can buy a Pentax 645D....no kit is complete without one ! Very Happy

Crikey you must just love weekends, standing out there in the freezing cold.
My parents were out your way a few weeks back. Mum reckons she'd move to Young in a heartbeat, but it's too far for dad to go fish'n.

G'day boys,
I've written up a review of the new lens separately.
Since my last posting in here I have taken on the role of photographic mentor to one of our teenage girls who happens to play in the womens soccer team I do photography for.
Talk about busy weekends !
And yes, it does get cold but the rain has been kind to me so far. Fingers crossed ! Smile
There is a new art gallery opening in Young soon and they want to sell my images. In my local newspaper this week there has been THREE of my photos printed in the last 2 editions.
If any of you are on Facebook you can track me here. I'm uploading images quite often.

Do not post images on Facebook if you want to keep copyright!

Have you not read the T&C's?

"For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos ("IP content"), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook ("IP License"). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it."

Full Facebook T&C 's here.

Basically if you post an image on facebook you loose all rights to that image.

I didn't know that.
There is a way around it.....you fill your FB albums with photos of your bum crack. You can be absolutely sure they're NOT going to use those ! Smile
